Chef Deborah Burchell "Chef D"

Chef D cooking style is “Caribbean Island Fusion” with a touch
of Southern Soul.

Having grown up in the central part of Trinidad.
Chef Deborah Burchell or Chef D as she is so affectionately
called was influenced by the East Indian cuisine from her village
,creole influences from her grandmother with an European flair
from her father.

Deb's passion for cooking started in her parent's kitchen when
she was just a little girl. Chef D couldn't resist running into a
kitchen where her mom , aunt, sister or father will have
something delicious cooking or just the full flavors of sometimes
curry chicken or brown stewed chicken with redbeans and rice
or sweet currant roll or coconut sweetbread filled the air..
Chef D received her training in the culinary arts from her home
country in the Caribbean of which she is so proud off.

Meet the Chefs and Owners

Mr Bryan Burchell "Mr B"

Mr B , a former manager at Springbrooks and Job Corp, left
that world to pursue his dreams of owning a restaurant
His basic intention was to deliver services that combined all the
knowledge and experience gained over the years.

With a small team of qualified and experienced hands along
with Chef D, he set up TriniSoul restaurant in a small town in
upstate NY,but the long and tedious hours of working, was
taking away spending time with the kids and the growing family..

Cooking as a child was one of my fondest memories. Those experiences helped shape the person I am today and ignited my passion for cooking."

I grew up upstate New York, and never had a Mango until I met Chef D
